Eco-Friendly Farmhouse

Nestled in the hills of Lamporecchio, Podere Rondinaio is a historic farmhouse dating back to 1642, once home to the stewards of the noble Rospigliosi family. After a careful renovation begun in 2014, it was transformed into an agriturismo in June 2016, blending history, comfort, and sustainability.

With passion and deep respect for the surrounding environment, we have brought new life to this place to offer an authentic and welcoming stay in the heart of Tuscany.

Its location is ideal for exploring iconic art cities such as Florence, Siena, San Gimignano, and Lucca – all less than an hour away. The beaches of Versilia and the Livorno coast are also about an hour’s drive. Nearby, charming villages and breathtaking landscapes complete an unforgettable experience.

Our Passion

At our agriturismo, we embrace a sustainable lifestyle that is reflected in every aspect of our daily life.

The business is family-run: Luca, pictured here, is a licensed tour guide and oversees the management of our olive grove with over 1,000 century-old trees. He is supported with dedication by his parents, Maria Rosa and Silvio, grandmother Tina, his brother Marco, and a trusted team of professional collaborators.

We tend the olive grove and vegetable garden using organic methods, without pesticides or chemical fertilizers, respecting the natural rhythms of the land. We rely on renewable energy sources: a low-emission wood boiler and solar panels provide hot water in an eco-friendly way, while photovoltaic panels generate clean electricity.

We also pay close attention to reducing plastic use, avoiding disposable materials wherever possible.

Rondinaio extra virgin olive Oil

Podere Rondinaio Extra Virgin Olive Oil is born in the unspoiled hills of Montalbano, a region where over two-thirds of the agricultural land is certified organic.

On a 3-hectare plot, we care for about 800 century-old olive trees and 200 newly planted ones, added in 2018. Leccino, Frantoio, and Moraiolo are the selected cultivars, blended to create a fresh, bold oil, rich in polyphenols and exceptional organoleptic properties.

Thanks to modern extraction technologies, cold pressing within 8 hours of harvesting, and in-line filtration, Podere Rondinaio Olive Oil retains its freshness and quality over time—just like when it was first pressed.
